Road Sign and KEEP CLEAR markings require Urgent Fix

The Do not queue across the intersection sign at the intersection of Lewis Street and Joseph Street Regents Park / Yagoona requires urgent reattachment to its post. The sign is rarely obeyed at this intersection as a result of its poor positioning and the absolutely ridiculously dangerous 80km / hr speed sign just prior to it on a crest south of Lewis Street.
With the sign in its current position as it has been for at least one month, this intersection is always blocked in peak hour when the is a red traffic light facing north bound drivers at the intersection of Joseph Street and Amy Street.
When this sign is in its proper position (I.e. not upside down) it does act as a warning for the approaching faded KEEP CLEAR road markings at the intersection of Cutcliffe Avenue and Joseph Street.
Since the introduction of these KEEP CLEAR markings, this intersection has had an extreme positive improvement for cars turning left out of Cutcliffe Avenue onto Joseph Street (Nortbound) and cars turning right from Joseph Street (Southbound) into Cutcliffe Avenue.
The remaining danger at this intersection are foolish drivers who make right turns from Cutcliffe Avenue to head south on Joseph Street. Without a merging lane (southbound on Joseph Street) this activity is dangerous. A No Right Turn Sign should be erected on Cutcliffe Avenue prohibiting this action.
That’s my opinion as a resident of 16 years and a Police Officer of 24 years.
