Lack of Pedestrian Crossing on New Line Road

A lot of people walk to Cherrybrook metro station. The spot marked on the map is where we cross the road from one side of Cherrybrook to the other. It is also part of the route shown by google maps. I live on Shepherds Drive, close to the shops. A lot of people do cross the road for commuting. However, the issue is that in order to do so, we need to cross four lanes of peak hour traffic, which is risky. There are no pedestrian crossings or pedestrian island through which we can safely cross the road
